So I've had multiple peelers before. Never thought much of them since I don't use them that often. So when I ordered this one, I didn't think I'd feel much difference. My goodness was I ever wrong. Is is slightly heavier than the older ones I've had? Yes, but that translates to it being more sturdy and less flimsy. It peels with ease. Smooth and effortless. This peeler has a comfortable grip, slices thinly enough that you are not wasting vegetable, and even has a notcher to remove potato eyes! Very happy with my purchase.

I have been wanting a vegetable peeler that would be able to handle peeling winter squash. This is the perfect peeler for that task. I was able to peel an entire butternut squash in a very few minutes yesterday. The peeler sliced through the skin as if it were butter. There was no hesitation in getting the job done.

Just used this once again right before reviewing. Easy on the hand for peeling potatoes. It didn't work as well on apples and seems better for larger potatoes just because it is a fairly large tool for a woman's hand.
